I've been rethinking my decision to not go back to work. I love all the time I'm spending with Neville, but it's also leaving me a lot of time to think about things. It isn't necessarily the best thing sometimes. Neville is getting more and more adorable by the day. He'll have little girls trailing after him soon enough.

Is there anything that needs to be done? Its been a bit strange trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm not sure where to start.

People have been lovely. I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to say. Please stop sending food. I suppose that's a good place to start. I can't speak for Molly or my aunt and uncle, but anything you would give me or Frank by way of condolences would be better put to St Mungo's or some organization that needs it more than we do.

Neville is doing well. So well, in fact, maybe I'll be able to get him into Hogwarts a few years early and he'll be the youngest fully educated wizard of the age.

No baby this month, love. Your birthday present will be delayed a bit longer it seems.

Happy birthday, Frank. I at least hope you took the day off. You shouldn't work on your birthday. Neville says happy birthday. Actually he's singing it.

My little boy is officially a year old now. He also loves chocolate cake it seems.

It's a shame Harry and Neville can't play together for their birthday. Both of them could probably do with having another baby around.

Things are going fine at my father's house, but I have to stay here longer. I don't really want to leave him on his own.

I feel horrible for not mentioning poor Benjy before now. I've been wrapped up in my own mess, I haven't even said anything about him. I haven't seen him in ages, even before being here. And Lily, is she okay? I haven't heard news from her or anyone, really. So I hope everyone's okay.

I feel bad continuing the lie about my dad, but I managed to get him to agree with as little detail as possible. He's not very happy about that, but he'll do it anyway.

The Muggles that own this house have the most interesting objects. I've been watching what I can only imagine is the ever fabled telly. Muggles are apparently entertained quite easily. They have their own version of the wireless, and they have this little box that they have connected to their telly that plays games. There's one that's quite similar to table tennis, I have to say that I am currently holding an irrational grudge against this game and if it wasn't for Neville, I might still be sitting on the floor in front of the Muggles' telly, trying to win that bloody game. But my darling son was hungry and he's missing his daddy so I have been taking care of him for the last hour or so. I think I should get some sleep.

How did that patronus thing go for everyone? I'm sorry I have to bore you all with my inane chatter, but I have to talk to someone with advanced vocabulary.

My father's ill. Neville and I are going to visit him for awhile, until he gets better. It means more leave from work, but I'm sure they'll get along fine without me.

A safehouse. I have no idea where or for how long, but that's where Neville and I will be. If, for any reason, anyone needs me just send word by Frank. Or since Lily and Remus have this patronus thing now, use that if need be. There's nothing wrong with my dad so if you happen to see him anywhere before I can get word to him, tell him to lie low for awhile.

Neville definitely said "dada" this morning. He pointed at a picture of Frank. He's so smart, although he apparently thinks Frank is his mum and dad. Maybe he thinks I'm the nanny.

I need you boys' opinions on something.

I'm going back to work on Monday. It's been nice being home with Neville all the time. He is much less irritable when he doesn't spend his day with Augusta when he can spend his whole day with one person instead of a changing of the guard whenever I get home. Being home all day, though, I don't see Frank as much, which is strange. But at work I still get to see him in the office and when he's hustling in and out.

It's pretty late, I should get some sleep. Neville's been getting up pretty early lately. I think he thinks its funny to watch his mum run around early in the morning with her hair a mess. He gurgled something that sounded suspiciously like "dada" earlier. I'm waiting for him to do it again before I make an official announcement.

I think I'm going to take a few days off of work. I've already spoken to Scrimgeour about it and he didn't raise any objections. I really don't think he likes me being in the department anyway. I've noticed that there haven't been too many other women brought in since he's been in charge, but if anybody asks, I didn't say that.

There's a lot of work to be done. I wish they'd just get this thing with Edgar patched up. We're short-handed enough as it is.

Has everyone's mouth suddenly been magically sealed? Or are we just allergic to answering questions?

Does anybody know what's going on with Edgar? They escorted him out of here and nobody seems to want to explain why.

My son now knows how to say 'mama.' He just doesn't say it to me. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I might be more upset if it wasn't so cute.

I haven't gotten to see Fabian since his release. His brother has been hogging him, but I suppose that's only right. Although I haven't seen that same brother either. I've only been witness to his in-journal antics with my adorable husband.

I've never had to be a character witness before. It was much more intimidating than I expected it to be. Hopefully this means that this foolishness will be over soon and Fabian can go home and Gideon can stop being so snippy with his well meaning friends and family.

I've had to stay in the office late the last few days. I just keep waiting for my worst fear to be confirmed. I'll get home and Augusta will tell me Neville made successive gurgling noises that actually formed words. It wouldn't be that big of a deal as long as either Frank or myself is there to hear and not his grandmother.

I was going to write about needing a holiday, but I've whined about that before. Instead I'd settle for a babysitter and a few good hours of sleep. Successive hours. Would anyone like a cranky, slightly colicky lovely, adorable, handsome baby boy for a short while? You'd have to give him back, of course.
